HackTO second edition – Sept 25th

HackTO is holding their second event on September 25th. If you are into hacking creative uses of API’s you might want to check this out. From their site:

HackTO is a gathering of the very best of Toronto’s technology folks, coming together for one day of mad coding.

The idea behind HackTO is to round up various public APIs from local tech startups and make them available to local developers. Working in teams or solo–and with expert guidance from our API sponsors–developers compete to create the coolest application using one or more of the available APIs. And just to make things interesting, this is all done in a few hours!

You can find out more about HackTO on their site, http://www.hackto.ca/ or go register here: http://guestlistapp.com/events/27444

Also, they are looking for local API’s to use at the event so it you know of any, drop them a line or comment here.

All you Flex people out there will want to check this out. Flex Camp is back in Toronto.

Flex Camp 3 Toronto is an afternoon/evening event for RIA developers and anyone else interested in Adobe Flex. We’ve engaged some world-class presenters for this event, including Adobe’s Lee Brimelow and Renaun Erikson.
Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned pro, there will be hands-on as well as lecture-style demonstrations that are designed to engage you.
Please note that we will be charging a modest $25 CAD fee (includes GST) to offset the costs of food and first-class venues. We’ll also be giving away copies of FDT Pure to every attendee, as well as a chance to win a full license to Flash Builder 4 Premium!
The event is filling up quickly. If you’re interested in attending, we recommend that you sign up soon!
