Each month FlashinTO hosts a monthly ‘gathering’ of people. Designers, developers, and anyone else interested in chatting and seeing some cool
presentations and mingling and meeting some others in the industry. All are welcome, no RSVP needed, and its free! Some come out and join us!
And as always, its cheap beer, and FREE pizza!

LOCATION: Function13, 156 Augusta.

Presentation: How to BS Better: A short guide
on how to tell better stories

We’re getting details together for FlashinTO Gathering v85.0 right now and we’re looking for some students to show some of their work. These will be short and quick presentations either of stuff you’re working on now or projects you’ve already completed for school.

If you’re interested send an email to rick at flashinto dot com. We’ll be posting more details about the gathering soon.

I know I’ve been saying for months that we were going to be moving something new for FlashinTO. After lying abandoned by all but the most dedicated members we’ve decided to lay the forums to rest. Forums are really pretty old school at this point anyway – at least we hope you agree.

There were however two things that the forums were still used for: posting upcoming events and listing job postings. For events, you’ll see a list of upcoming events on the right and there is also an events page. You can also find event info on at www.facebook.com/flashinto

For job postings, we’ve added a classifieds plug-in so that everyone can continue to post and view local jobs. You’ll find a link to the right or go here: http://www.flashinto.com/index.php/flashinto-classifieds/

Over time if we see the need, I may expand the classified categories to include things other than jobs.
